Double Engagement Party!

Photos Taken by Ben Johnson Photography, www.benjohnson.smugmug.com

These 2 tier cakes ( 6"/10") were really fun to create for 2 sisters that were having a double engagement party. Their mother gave me great information about the couples and we shared ideas and came up with these.
The figures were sculpted from Fondant & Gumpaste. It was my first attempt doing this and I learned many things along the way!

This couple saw the cake I made for the last wedding, and loved it so they requested just about the same design for her wedding. She was a very sweet & easy going bride to work with. This cake is French Vanilla & Butter cream frosting with Satin Ice fondant. 6"/8"/10".

Choo Choo Trains

I made the trains from fondant, they are around the entire cake, both layers. The cake is covered in chocolate fondant, 6"/8" and it serves about 30 people. The cake would normally cost $90, but this cake took about 10hrs because of all the small details and will cost $115.

Princess Cake

This cake was designed for special little girl who is turning 3, along with her twin brother. The request was for the cake to be really "girly"

This is a 6"/8" and the crown is fondant and serves about 30 people. This cake also took quite a bit of time because the of crown details. The white dots around the name, and the crown are Edible Sugar Pearls and are applied with tweezers. This cake will cost $115, if you would like it without the crown it would be $90.
