ELMO Birthday Party!

This is the second time I made this Sesame Street 1st Birthday cake. Elmo is very popular with the toddlers, and I really enjoy being able to create this again since it brings back memories of my little guy turning one last May.

The size of this cake is 6"/8"/10", French Vanilla cake with Swiss Meringue Butter cream, covered in Vanilla fondant. The Elmo faces were made using a template I created to fit the size of the cake. Serves about 75 people.

Baby Shrek Birthday!

This 12" Cake was tinited "green" on the inside to match the color of Baby Shrek, filled with Swiss Meringue Buttercream and covered in Dark Chocolate Fondant. A cake this size can serve about 45 people.

Princess Lola...

This cake was created for Princess Lola. She requested a real crown instead of a fondant one so she could wear it during the party. The cake was 6"/8" French Vanilla with Pink Vanilla Butter cream inside.

Baby Shower Duckies!!

Sugar cookies are such an adorable way to add a centerpiece, or favor for Baby showers. I made these Ducky cookies for a Baby shower to welcome a little boy. These cookies are 3" in size, wrapped in a clear plastic baggie with Jelly Bellies and tied with a polka dot ribbon to match. These cookies are $36 a dozen ( minimum order, 1 dozen) or 2 dozen for $65.

Double Engagement Party!

Photos Taken by Ben Johnson Photography, www.benjohnson.smugmug.com

These 2 tier cakes ( 6"/10") were really fun to create for 2 sisters that were having a double engagement party. Their mother gave me great information about the couples and we shared ideas and came up with these.
The figures were sculpted from Fondant & Gumpaste. It was my first attempt doing this and I learned many things along the way!
